Police: Man Runs Naked for Help After Assault

UPDATE: Police say a drug related issue forced a naked, battered man to kick in his neighbor’s door for help this morning.

Investigators with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department sat outside of a house on Homestead Lane off Meridian Road for more than four hours while they waited for a search warrant. Detectives believe the 28 year old victim was attacked by 29-year-old Chad Dobbs and 27-year-old Joel Dach.

The Two are being charged with aggravated battery and holding the man against his well. We’re told the victim was visiting the house.


ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A Rockford man ran naked from a west side home after he was apparently attacked by another man.

It happened around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning on Homestead Road across from Roy Gayle Park.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies indicate one man attacked a 28-year-old. The man ran naked to a house next door looking for help. The suspect ran off. Sheriff’s Deputies say the suspect is now in custody and charges are pending.
