STATELINE (WIFR) -- The low summer temperatures have created a significant drop in attendance for the Stateline’s largest water park while causing another attraction to reap the benefits.
Employees at CoCo Key Water Resort say business has increased 50% this summer because of the cooler weather. Meantime, employees at Magic Waters Waterpark are hoping the upper 80's will bring in more crowds for the rest of the month. The park closes in a week. The business saw a drop in numbers this year, however more than 3,000 people hit the slides on Sunday.
“Attendance is lower than what it was last year, with last year being as hot and dry as it was. On the nice days we have had that attendance. It’s a gorgeous day," says Zach McIntyre, operations manager at Magic Waters.
Magic Waters will be closed this week and will re-open August 24th and 25th.
