Volunteers Go Door-to-Door for Affordable Care Act Questions

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- With problems on top of problems with the sign up process for the Affordable Care Act, many people are coming up with more questions about how to get covered.

So to help clear things up dozens of volunteers went door-to-door through Rockford neighborhoods Saturday answering questions.
The canvass is part of a national campaigned called Get Covered America. Volunteers knocked on doors and explained the types of coverage available and how to get signed up. Volunteers say getting signed up for the Affordable Care Act can seem daunting at first, but hope with their help the process seems a little easier.

"If some of the previous conceptions are going to be the same or if they're changing. It seems like a lot of things are changing for the better," Rachael Coe, volunteer for Get Covered America, said.

Get Covered America will also be answering questions on Tuesday at the Rock Valley College student center. They'll be there from 11am until 2pm.
