Undergraduate Research and Artistry Day

Research projects ranged from environmental issues to engineering feats to potential research breakthroughs in modern medicine. The projects allows students to take what they've learned in the classroom and apply it to real world situations. Students applied for grants and conducted research project throughout the United States and in some cases outside of the country.

"An event like this simulates what students would do in a professional society or in a professional setting, particularly if they are going on to graduate school. So this is an opportunity for them to gain some ways to practice what it's like when they are presenting their work." says Julia Spears of Engaged Learning.

The research grants are made possible by a variety of research programs and apprenticeships within each college at the university.
