UPDATE: Two Killed in Motorcycle Crash

UPDATE: Two motorcyclists are dead after they crashed into each other in Mount Morris.

67-year-old Richard Zimmerman of Lanark and 50-year-old Michael Gonzalez of Chicago have been identified by police as the two motorcyclists killed in the crash.

Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies say Gonzalez moved into the east bound lane to pass traffic when the two bikes collided. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene. 52-year-old Rosarita Gonzalez, who was a passenger on Gonzalez' motorcycle was injured and taken to OSF St. Anthony's in Rockford where she is listed in critical condition.


MOUNT MORRIS (WIFR) -- Two motorcyclists are dead after they crashed into each other head-on.

It happened around 11am Sunday in the 3000 block of West Route 64 in Mount Morris.

The Ogle County Sheriff's Department says both men died at the scene. A woman who was also riding on one of the bikes was badly hurt. She was taken by helicopter to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
