UPDATE: Two Injured In One Car Accident, Car In Creek

UPDATE: Thirty-four year old Kimberly Akins, of Forreston, and 37 year old Roger Patterson, of Mt Morris, are in stable condition. Akins swerved to miss a deer, missed the guard rail, and landed in the creek.


MOUNT MORRIS (WIFR) -- Ogle County Police are on scene of a one car accident with injuries on the 3700 block of North Leaf River Road.

When officers arrived they found a car in the creek with two people inside. The passenger was taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital via ambulance and the driver taken via helicopter.

The cause of the accident and extent of injuries are unknown at this point. We will keep you updated as the information becomes available.
