ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- After 34 years in the same location, a local manufacturer is moving on up.
Thomason Machine has moved into a new location on 11th street, that has more than three times the space of their old headquarters. The move allowed the fastener company to purchase 10 new CNC machining centers and a couple of new mills. The company's founder, James Thomason and his two sons hope to hire a few more workers too.
"The industry is doing really well right now, internet sales have been really good, the Rockford economy seems to be coming back, and the fastener industry seems to be doing really well"
This year alone they added five workers bringing their total number of employees up to twenty.
