Thanksgiving Dinner Comes Early

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Grounds for Life Ministry has been in the kitchen all day.

They've been making a Thanksgiving meal for hundreds of underprivileged and homeless families in our area, who just sat down to dinner about an hour ago. We caught up with the volunteers behind the scenes, to find out why they keep coming back year after year.

There's so many needs in our community and our surrounding areas that people come here, and they know they're going to get a good meal, they know they're going to feel love... God's love towards them,” said Organizer Doris English.

Volunteers came from all over the community, though many of them work at SwedishAmerican.
