Students Participate in "Rotary Academy"

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Students in District 205 got roped into some leadership training this afternoon. The rotary club partners with District 205 to host the "Rotary Academy" every year. Today, West Middle School students spent the day at Camp Winnebago, learning the high ropes and taking part in other problem solving activities. The goal is to make sure that today's middle schoolers are well on their way to becoming tomorrow's leaders.

"Some people don't set goals, but when you set one and you accomplish it, you get recognized for it, and you get like rewards for it,” said Christopher Thompson.

Resa, Lincoln, Kennedy, and Barbour will all take part in the program over the next week.
