UPDATE: Structural Accident Prompts Evacuation of School

UPDATE: Robinson Elementary School students in Beloit will have a day off from school Wednesday.

That's because construction crews working on the school's expansion caused structural damage to the gym. The wall started to partially collapse this afternoon after most students left for the day, but the school was evacuated as a precaution. No one was hurt. Due to the accident, the school will be closed tomorrow, October 10, 2012. Parents are urged to check beloitschools.net for more information on when school will resume.
