Rockford (WIFR) -- Stateline entrepreneurs and inventors were making their pitch tonight, but instead of trying to strike someone out they are trying to strike it rich.
EIGER Lab’s 7th Annual FastPitch Competition was tonight at NIU in Rockford. Nearly 30 people were on hand to pitch their business and invention ideas to the group of judges.
The first place and five thousand dollar prize went to Charles Meyers and his string gator, which cuts the excess line on a weed wacker. Second place went to Adrian Vasquez who created a hair dryer nozzle. Third place went to Edgar Marin for a welding helmet he built with his dad that has a fan.
