ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- One stretch of roadway on Rockford’s East Side has been the scene of an unusual number of accidents recently and police are stepping up their vigilance there.

The street involved is Mulford Avenue from East State north a few blocks to Garrett lane. It is when these accidents are happening which has police scratching their heads. The increase in fender-benders there has been occurring only from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
