ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford police are on the scene of a shooting at School St. and Tanner Ct.

It happened just before 8 p.m. near School Street and Tanner Court in Rockford. That's where police found an 18-year-old woman who had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police do have one suspect in custody and are looking for a second suspect who was seen with the first suspect. He's described as a black male, about 5'7" with a thin build and a shaved head. He was wearing a striped jacket and shorts and police say he is armed with a gun.
