WASHINGTON (WIFR) -- Washington politicians are dealing with their own financial crisis, but in a major address this morning, Senator Dick Durbin says he's optimistic both Republicans and Democrats will be able to come together.
Today he spoke at the center for American progress on the looming fiscal cliff. The Senate's second most-powerful Democrat says his party should embrace a deal, especially if Republicans agree to raise tax revenue. He told the audience that he's seen many Senate Republicans start to lean that way. Political experts are much more concerned about the pliability of House Republicans.
