STATELINE (WIFR) -- Most of you have probably heard by now that one of the Mega Millions winning tickets was sold in Red Bud, Illinois. But there were also 12 second-place winning tickets sold in the Prairie State and three of them were in the Stateline.

The second-place winners matched five numbers.

One ticket was sold at the Lyford Road Mobile at 8061 E. State St in Rockford, one at the Shell at 505 W. Highway 38 in Rochelle and one ticket was sold at the Road Ranger at 125 N. Annie Glidden Rd. in DeKalb.

All of the second place winners won $250,000 each, except one Chicago winner who used the Megaplier feature, upping their prize to $1,000,000.
