Schneider Electric Lays-off Six
Half a dozen people at a local manufacturing company are out of a job.
Schneider Electric in Loves Park recently laid off five full-time employees and one temporary worker.

Half a dozen people at a local manufacturing company are out of a job.
Schneider Electric in Loves Park recently laid off five full-time employees and one temporary worker.
A company spokeswoman says even though sales were up during the first half of 2011 they struggled in the second half. The higher cost of raw materials also contributed to the loss.
The company says there won't be any other immediate layoffs, but it also says the outlook for 2012 doesn't look great. Schneider Electric employs 367 employees.
