CHERRY VALLEY (WIFR) -- A local building that's sat empty for years is now getting a new owner. A thrift store is moving into the former Toys R' Us location across from Cherryvale Mall, bringing in nearly 40 jobs.
This is the Salvation Army's fifth location in the Stateline. The store is accepting donations in a semi-truck parked outside the store. Proceeds will go to the Army's adult rehabilitation center that helps people with addiction. It's expected to open in March.
