ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- It's looking pretty grim for the Salvation Army's annual bell-ringing campaign. There's still a considerable shortage of volunteers.
89 shifts need to be filled on Friday and Saturday. Leaders say when they don't have bell-ringers people aren't as willing to donate money.
Right now, the Winnebago County Charity is nearly $50,000 short of their goal for this year, which could mean less assistance for families in need. If you're interested in volunteering your time, call 815-962-7207 or sign up online.
