ROCKTON (WIFR) -- The Rockton Police Department has a new sergeant.

Officer David Cotter was promoted at a ceremony Tuesday night at Village Hall. He's a ten year veteran of the force and he's done everything from bike patrol to acting shift commander. He was the Lions Club Officer of the year in 2007. He says even though Rockton doesn't have much crime he loves his job.
