ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford Spine Center is pleased to announce all five of its physicians have been awarded the 2012 Patients’ Choice Award. Spine Surgeons Dr. Michael Roh, Dr. Christopher Sliva and Dr. Fred Sweet along with Physiatrist Dr. Marie Walker and Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Behr earned the distinction. The physicians first earned the award in 2011. Of the nation's 830,000 active physicians, only 5% were accorded this honor by their patients in 2012.
Patients' Choice recognition reflects the difference a particular physician has made in the lives of their patients. The honor is bestowed to physicians who have received near perfect scores as voted by patients through various ratings websites. Every month, more than 200,000 patients across the U.S. provide online feedback about their experiences with their doctors. They rate various components such as bedside manner, doctor-patient face time, degree of follow-up, courtesy of office staff, and overall opinions. Patients’ Choice is an annual award program that has been recognizing physicians since 2008. The surgeons at Rockford Spine Center take great pride in the level of service they provide to their patients and are very grateful for the positive ratings they have received to earn this honor.
