ROCKFORD (WIFR) – New Technology is being implemented into some of Rockford’s Schools as part of a pilot program to determine their impact on the student’s learning process. District 205 began distributing 300 of the 3,600 Apple iPads this week to 10 different secondary schools. The rest of the iPads will be given out over the next few weeks.
Dr. Travis Woulfe, Executive Director of Improvement and Innovation for the Rockford School District, says this method of teaching has been proven effective over surrounding school districts and Title 1 Federal Funding is paying for the new technology.
