ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Three men are in custody and Rockford Police are looking for a fourth after a home invasion on Rockford's southeast side yesterday afternoon.
A Crime Stoppers tip allows Rockford police to arrest three teenagers on home invasion charges. 19-year-olds Gregory Aniszewski and Jonathan Ruiz and 17-year-old Andre McGlothlin are accused of breaking into an apartment in the 4200 block of Harrison avenue yesterday morning.
Police say a woman was home with her two-year-old when a man she knew came over to visit.
That’s when the three teenagers allegedly snuck into the apartment through an unlocked door and took electronics. The victim tried to stop them but they took off, including her acquaintance.
A witness said the teens left in a red SUV. About an hour and a half later, a tip to Crime Stoppers indicated the SUV was parked in the 2700 block of Rudeen Close. The three teens were arrested on the scene.
Police are still looking for the man the victim knows.
