ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Police say a man walked into a local emergency room after being shot on Rockford's west side.

Rockford police say the shooting happened Monday night in the 1400 Block of North Main Street. The victim walked into the hospital just after 10:00 p.m. suffering from two gunshot wounds. Right now his condition is unknown.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
