Rockford Man in FL Court in Connection to Airport Bomb Threat

JACKSONVILLE, FL (WIFR) -- We now know that one of the two men arrested after a bomb threat forced the closing of a Jacksonville, Florida airport is from Rockford.

Manuel Rivera, 35, appeared in a Florida court Thursday. The judge ruled that police acted properly in arresting Rivera even-though it's now determined that there is no connection between Rivera and Zeljko Causevic, that's the Florida man charged with making a bomb threat that forced the closing of the Jacksonville Airport for 6 hours.

Police say when they were evacuating the airport they approached Rivera and he pulled away dropping a bag. Rivera is charged with resisting an officer and his bail is set at $10,000.
