ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- An 18 year old Rockford man is expected to survive after being shot multiple times.
Rockford Police say the shooting happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of 4th Street and 17th Avenue. Police say they found John Duckett lying in the intersection.
Witnesses say they saw a dark colored car pull up to Duckett and another man just before six shots were fired. Someone inside the car as well as Duckett fired shots.
The man with Duckett had fled the scene but later came back to check on him. Duckett was taken to a local hospital where four live rounds were recovered from his body. Once Duckett is released from the hospital, he will be charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, and for a Parole Violation.
Police are looking for two black males who were in the suspect vehicle.
