UPDATE: Southbound traffic on North Alpine Road from East Riverside Blvd. is now open.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rockford police says it is closing North Alpine Road between East Riverside Boulevard and High Point Drive for four hours.
The closure is due to a reconstruction from a traffic crash on Monday.
According to a press release, southbound traffic will be detoured west on East Riverside Boulevard, south on Forest Hills Road and east on Pepper Drive.
The road will reopen by 3 p.m.
