ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- New information tonight on a major apartment fire that happened in Rockford Tuesday afternoon.
A firefighter was hurt after the roof of the building partially collapsed. Officials say the firefighter was treated and released from a local hospital. The fire broke out just before 2:00 p.m. in the 5900 block of Fox Basin Road, that's off of Newburg and Mulford. The Red Cross is providing temporary housing for four adults and three children. The blaze is under investigation. It caused around a million dollars in damages.
