ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Skype connects us to relatives who live out of state and helps us attend business meetings from home. And now the video web service is helping local students learn about the African culture.

Third graders at Rockford Christian took a virtual field trip to Kenya on Friday. They got to see what the landscape looks like and learned about what it's like to live there. Panelists used Skype like a phone to even answer questions about the African nation.
