ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- It was a packed house at the Rockford Chamber of Commerce annual dinner.
The keynote speaker was radio host Jim Blasingame. Google ranks Blasingame as the country's number one expert on small business. And 23 News Anchor Mike Garrigan asked him what can small business owners do right now to be more successful.
"Let me give you a quick fix. Ask your customers what they want. and then give it to them. Find out what their expectations are. And if you think you know what their expectations are from when you talked to them a year ago, you're now way behind," Blasingame said.
Dan Loescher of Loescher and Associates was named the chamber's 2013 Citizen of the Year.
