ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rock Valley College is pleased to be hosting its first Green Energy Summit on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in rooms 141/142 of the Woodward Technology Center (WTC) on the RVC main campus (3301 North Mulford Rd.).
There is a great deal of interest in the alternative energy market. Businesses are being created. Companies are expanding their product lines. One of the goals of the summit is to explain the services Rock Valley College and its partners can offer as we begin to develop a system to support the burgeoning alternative energy opportunities.
Rock Valley College will explain its new Associate in Applied Science degree in Sustainable Energy Systems. Not only will you have access to skilled, professional experts, you can have access to eager interns, and (low-cost or even free) assistance in the development of your products and services. Find out what options exist.
Freedom Field Renewable Energy is a not-for-profit organization/facility that can help you gain ideas about new alternative energy technologies. The Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA-I) has developed industry-wide alternative energy certifications to help you find qualified installers and system designers. Find out more and how to market your services using ETA-I certifications. The Illinois Renewable Energy Association (IREA) and the Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) will also be there to explain and answer questions about their courses and the guidance they can offer. The Eiger Lab provides business incubator opportunities, and can help you develop and/or review your business plan.
This is not a trade show. This is an opportunity to network and determine how we can mitigate obstacles to your success collectively. There is no charge and lunch and an optional tour to Freedom Field Renewable Energy will be provided.
