ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- New students starting classes at Rock Valley College this Fall will have to pay a little extra in tuition.

Tuesday night the Board of Trustees at RVC approved a $4 tuition increase. In district students currently pay $93 a credit hour. The new $97 a credit hour rate will help pay for the roughly $1 million in staff salary increases. All student fees at RVC will remain the same.
