ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Records are breaking at the Chicago Rockford International Airport.
RFD says last month was the busiest September on record, with 13,147 passengers, it shatters the old record of 12,190 passengers set back in 2005.
Airport Director Mike Dunn says charter flights and the arrival of the European Ryder Cup Team help boost the numbers.
So far this year 166,249 people traveled though RFD.
