Principal Sleeping on School's Roof

OREGON (WIFR) – An Oregon school district principal is living up to his word and sleeping on his school’s roof tonight. Kip Crandall is the principal at David Rahn Junior High in Mount Morris. He told the 8th Grade Class he would camp out on the school’s roof if they raised enough money for a physics field trip to Six Flags. The class did just that, collecting more than $2,700.Crandall says it’s great to help motivate students.

"The Junior High age it can be a challenge day in and day out... but whenever you issue a challenge to them the majority of our kids will respond, whether that be in a testing atmosphere or a fundraising agreement. it's just nice to see them responding to challenge put before them,” said Crandall.

Crandall and students will leave tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. for Six Flags.
