LOVES PARK (WIFR) -- It's dubbed the "little carefree car" but it turns out the people who drive them certainly care a lot about making the world a better place.
Probably never seen this many Ford Pintos in one place, more than 40 of them stopped at the Bullet Stop Gun Shop in Loves Park. The "Pinto Stampede" is driving together across the country. They'll end up in Memphis. They're trying to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
The group has raised more than $30,000 in the last three years. We haven't heard of any major problems with the trek. Which is promising given Pintos were known for their gas tanks blowing up.
