Pilot Suffers Minor Injuries After Crashing His Crop Dusting Helicopter

BOONE COUNTY (WIFR) -- A pilot suffers only minor injuries after crashing his crop dusting helicopter in Northern Boone County this afternoon near Capron, IL.

Investigators are still trying to determine what exactly cause the crash, but the owner of the crop dusting company Back Nine Ariel says it's likely the pilot lost control when turning back around to make another run at the field he was working on.

The pilot was flying solo and was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. The owner of the company Dwayne Deakins told us the pilot's name was Dale and was shaken up but should be fine.

We'll post more information as soon as it becomes available.
