NEWTON, CT (WIFR) -- At 9:30 this morning, cold, rainy, Newtown, Connecticut stood still, as a grief-stricken community observed a moment of silence at the town hall.
It's been one week since the deadly shootings at sandy hook elementary school. Bells at trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown tolled 26 times -- one for each victim at the school. The observance also began yet another day of funerals and more are scheduled to take place this weekend.
