BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- Firefighters in Belvidere were able to quickly control a fire at a manufacturing plant that could've been a lot worse.

It happened around 11:15 at the Camcar plant in the 800 block of East Madison Street. Authorities say when crews got to the scene they saw smoke coming from the building. They say it looks like a hydraulic line leaked into an oil pit under a machine.

The plant was not open today and only a few people were inside. No one was injured. Damages were contained to the area surrounding the machine. Camcar makes several parts including fasteners.

Look at all the response to the scene of this fire and you will see why we are taxed out of this world. Lifeline. Really??? Seems a bit much. They roll the doors open and roll the trucks out no matter what to justify thier very existence. All at the cost of taxpayers.
