ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Rockford's Singer Center is officially closed and the Rosecrance Triage Center is up and running.
Rosecrance Health Network Director of Communications Judy Emerson says the transition has been smooth. Since opening on Monday the center has been able to do about a dozen evaluations and divert several people from almost certain hospitalization to crisis beds.
As of Thursday, Rosecrance has seven patients in those beds, which is the current capacity. Only a few individuals have been admitted to area hospitals.
