OGLE COUNTY (WIFR) -- After months of uncertainty Ogle County has a new State's Attorney.
Mike Rock will hold the seat until next November when there will be a general election. Rock replaces State's Attorney Ben Roe who left to be a judge for the 15th judicial circuit. Rock spent much of the 90's as an Ogle County Assistant State's Attorney. He left in 2000 to go into private practice and then returned in 2010. He's now trying to move to the area from Boone County, because State's Attorneys are often needed at odd hours.
