New Rockford School Board Members Start, Old Ones Remembered

Rockford (WIFR)--Three new members took the oath for Rockford Public School board tonight and the board also picked it's new leader.

Kenneth Scrivano is the new president of District 205's School Board the other two leadership positions don't change. Jude Makulec remains vice president. And Lisa Jackson will stay on as board secretary.

Previous president Harmon Mitchell was presented a plaque tonight for all of his hard work over the years. He plans on spending a lot of time with his family now and is confident the board can continue to keep momentum in district 205 moving forward.

"I know that this board, know that this board has so much more they can do if they continue to work together like we have the last two years. I am definitely going to miss it but i will be watching the new board to make sure they are doing the right thing for the students in our district," former Rockford School Board President Harmon Mitchell said.

While Mitchell has been the president for the last two years, he has been a part of the board for the last six years. An experience he says he wont soon forget.
