ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- We may not be able to call the Rockford MetroCentre by that name for much longer.

The Rockford Area Venues and Entertainment Board is in the process of negotiating a contract for naming rights.

The MetroCentre has been looking to strike a deal for years now, to bring in some extra revenue.
