ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A jury trial started today for one of two brothers accused in a deadly gang-related drive-by shooting in 2010.
Ricardo Jaimes is accused of driving the car, while his brother Isaac allegedly fired a gun from inside. Police say they killed rival gang member Demarkis Dequan Robinson.
A witness identified Ricardo as the driver of the car just hours after the shooting. Prosecutors say the witness wanted to change his story after being threatened by gang members, but a judge ruled the identification should stand.
Opening statements begin tomorrow morning.
