Man Injured After Motorcycle Accident

A motorcyclist is injured after colliding with a car Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30 p.m at North Meridian and Trask Bridge Roads in Rockford. Police say the motorcyle was heading west on Trask Bridge when it collided with a jeep that was traveling south on Meridian.

It's still unclear who is at fault, but someone ran a stop sign at the intersection. The driver of the bike was airlifted to the hospital with possible head injuries..

He was not wearing a helmet, his wife, who was on the back of the bike, was wearing a helmet. She's expected to be okay.
