Man Arrested After Alleged Attempted Break-in at Janesville Restaurant

JANESVILLE, WI (WIFR) -- A Wisconsin man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to break in to a Janesville restaurant.

Police say before 2 a.m. Monday, police say they were called to Texas Roadhouse for an alarm going off. Upon arrival, police say they heard pounding coming from the roof. They spotted a subject running from the building toward Home Depot. He was caught in the parking lot.

Police say 38-year-old Brett R. Wiedmer allegedly tried to cut a hole in the roof but never made it in. Wiedmer is being charged with attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property. He is being held at the Rock County Jail.
