ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Prep work is almost done at Main and Auburn, allowing construction to start on Rockford's first ever two-lane roundabout.
Aldermen awarded a contract to William Charles to build the roundabout. It will cost almost $5 million. Some homes in the area still must be torn down. Once that's finished, construction is slated to start in May.
