Local Meat Cutter Advances to Round 2 of National Meat Cutting Challenge

Enrique Diaz of Janesville is advancing to Round Two of the Texas Roadhouse National Meat Cutting Challenge.

Diaz and eight other skilled meat cutters from around Wisconsin competed on Tuesday at Cornerstone Community Ice Center in De Pere.

On February 25, Diaz, Josh Balthazor of West Bend, and Abel Ceron of East Madison will meet again to face off against other regional winners in Orlando, FL. Here they will compete for the chance at the finals to be held on April 27 at Amelia Island, Florida.

The winner of the national competition receives a grand prize of $20,000 and is crowned Meat Cutter of the Year.
