ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A local man is in the hospital after police say he was hit by a car on the city's east side. The driver says the snow and ice made it so hard to stop the victim was pulled several feet.
The accident happened as the snow was coming down at around eleven last night on East State Street and Alpine Road. Police say the 41-year-old victim stepped in front of the car before he was hit. He was pulled several feet until the driver was able to stop. Investigators tell 23 News the man is in serious condition at a local a hospital .He is expected to be ok.
