UPDATE: Motion to Reduce Kossow's Bond Denied

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – UPDATE: The Rockford mother accused of stabbing her 8-year-old son to death won’t be getting out jail anytime soon.

Today a judge denied a motion to reduce Jody Kossow’s $2 million bond. Back in September, deputies say they found her standing over her son Thomas’ body in the driveway of their home on Woodrow Avenue.

Kossow has plead not guilty. She’ll be back in court December 20th.

The mother accused of brutally stabbing her 8-year-old son to death says she’s not guilty. Jody Kossow faced a judge today.

Her lawyer is also asking for her $2 million bond to be reduced. Back in September. Sheriff’s deputies say they found her standing over her son Thomas’ dead body at a home on Woodrow Avenue.

She’ll be in court next on November 19th.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Winnebago County mother accused of killing her eight year old son gets a new judge.

Jody Kossow was back in court this morning. Judge John Lowry was assigned to the case. He'll be the third judge to hear the case. Both the defense and prosecution have now asked for new judges.

Kossow is accused of stabbing her son, Thomas, to death at their home in Winnebago County in September. Her arraignment is set for Friday, October 25.
