Janesville Man Arrested for Endangering Child While Driving Drunk

JANESVILLE (WIFR) -- Officers from the Janesville Police Department arrested Casey Truman, 26 of Janesville, for driving under the influence with his child in the car.

Officers received calls on Friday regarding an intoxicated man with a 7 year old child walking around inside the Riders Inn. When they arrived he had already left, however, a short time later police responded to an accident at North Pine Street and Linden Avenue. There police determined the man involved in the accident was Truman and the child was the 7 year old child.

The seven year old suffered minor injuries and was released from Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center to a responsible adult.

Casey Truman is currently being held at the Rock County Jail on charges including OWI causing injury to a passenger under 16 years old, prohibited alcohol concentration, violation of child safety restraint, and too fast for conditions.
