23 News has an exciting new partnership with a local young professionals group called Ignite Rockford. Every Thursday on the 23 news update at 10 we will air some of their insights and thoughts about what is happening in the region. Tonight some of the organization's members give their views on why they choose to live in Rockford.

Jazz Keyes said, "Now that I am in the workforce and have my degree I am most proud of the older more hesive professionals and kind of embrace us and you would go some other places like Chicago and you may not get as much recognition as being in Rockford or being in the small city. "

Sam Bowers said, "Coming from Milwaukee the business climate is very similar and it is very easy to get along with people its a small town feel and I really like that."

Ala Patterson said, “Anything that is going to keep me engaged. I liked to be engaged and I like to be active and I like to know what's going on. Anything that and having all of those would keep me planted somewhere."

Ben Ahlenius said, "It seems like people really want to change Rockford and make it a better place, I am hopeful that in time that will happen."

Hey WIFT and Ignite. Why don't you go put all this before our little bitty mayor.

Hey Brainstorm... If the Rockford Police department does not handle crime in those areas you cannot assign and additional 200K in population to the statistic. Did you graduate high school? When will you learn this? Byron ans Roscoe suffer from their own problems.

No. 350K is correct for the region. The Rockford region prospers and suffers when the city of Rockford does. When will people learn this? Roscoe and Byron suffer when Rockford suffers.
